Minister of Justice Mohamed Lamloum met Tuesday with a delegation from the EU Mission in Libya.

The meeting, which was held at the Minister of Justice’s office in Tripoli, reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two sides in terms of supporting criminal justice in Libya through developing the judicial expertise centre and supporting and building the capacity of the judicial police system according to the priorities given to the international community by the Ministry of Justice.

Lamloum stressed the importance of partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the European Union Mission in Libya, expressing his appreciation for the Mission's efforts in supporting security, stability and institution-building in Libya.

For his part, the European delegation reiterated its commitment to assisting Libya in the current transitional period.
