The Minister of Justice of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Halima Ibrahim, stated that tolerance and reconciliation is the main file for the next step and it is the only way to overcome differences and achieve national reconciliation.

In her speech during a ceremony held at the Reform and Rehabilitation Institution, Ibrahim confirmed that the Ministry of Justice is determined to end all cases of arbitrary detention and imposed disappearances, stating that the issue of respect towards human rights is and should be at the heart of her Ministry’s concern.

The Ministry of Justice also warned that any violations of human rights may justify foreign interference, noting that the matter requires concerted efforts to put a line under any violations of any such human rights which may occur.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Justice released Thursday 78 prisoners arrested during the aggression against Tripoli.
