Military officers from the city of Zawiya have agreed to unify all military forces and form a joint security room to secure the city and activate the security checkpoints.
During their meeting on Sunday at the House of Culture, the officers refused what they described fueling the fire in the city and dragging its sons to wars by some parties, calling on civil society institutions to play its part in defusing the situation in the city.
Earlier, officers of the Libyan Armed Forces in Zawiya issued a statement declaring that the military establishment is one unit away from the political strife.
