Reliable sources from Benghazi reported that armed militias loyal to warlord Khalifa Haftar, prevented the holding of an official press conference for Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Al-Qatrani in the Tibesti Hotel in the city of Benghazi, regarding the launch of the “Return of Life” project, announced by PM Abdel Hamid Dbeibah last Friday in his speech on various development projects.
As yet, no official statement has been issued by the Government of National Unity (GNU) regarding the incident, to either refute or confirm the incident.
Dbeibah announced, last Friday, the launch of what he titled the “return of life” plan, aimed at resuming development projects, the initiation of which was to be the holding of the said press conference to be held in Benghazi, to launch several various projects in the east of the country.
