Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC) Muhamed Menfi has pledged to push for a constitutional framework for the country's electoral process.

Menfi said during a meeting with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, that the PC is committed to achieving the entitlements of the transitional stage and fulfilling the aspirations of Libyans with respect to holding parliamentary and presidential elections.

A statement by the PC said the two sides discussed developments in the political process, where Menfi praised Germany's efforts in its initiatives to gather the Libyan parties through the tracks of the Berlin conferences.

For his part, the German ambassador affirmed his country's continued support for the PC's efforts to achieve stability in Libya and to lead the country toward elections.
