The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has discussed with the eastern region members of the High Council of State (HCS) the latest developments in the political process in Libya.

The meeting reviewed on Sunday national reconciliation efforts and those that aim at holding presidential and parliamentary elections in consensus among all parties, in addition to the conditions of inmates inside prisons, especially those held in pre-trial custody. They also discussed releasing those who have received release orders.

Menfi reiterated the need to implement the law and respect justice, and human rights to help the national reconciliation efforts of the Presidential Council.
