The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, is participating in the European Union (EU)-Africa Union (AU) Partnership Summit, scheduled to be held on February 17-18, in the Belgian capital, Brussels, during which he is likely to meet with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
The visit comes in the midst of a political crisis following the assignment of the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, as the new Prime Minister to succeed Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, according to the Italian Nova News Agency, expecting that Menfi might play a mediating role at this stage.
