The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has participated in the consultative meeting held by German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, in New York, with African leaders, including, President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, in his capacity as President of the African Union, and Chairperson of the African Commission, Moussa Faki.

Menfi praised Germany’s role in supporting the political track in Libya through the Berlin conferences, and the joint cooperation between Germany and Africa, in order to contribute to supporting the stability of Libya.

He also touched on the challenges of food security in Africa, especially in light of the current international crisis, and the importance of joint cooperation to overcome this crisis.

“After reaching stability, Libya can play a great role in many files, the most important of which are the oil, energy and environment files, providing economic and investment opportunities, contributing to stopping illegal immigration, and settling sustainable development in Africa”, Menfi added.
