40 members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have accused the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame of insulting the HoR in his latest briefing to the UN Security Council on November 8.

The MPs expressed in a statement their surprise of they called “Salamae’s non-commitment to neutrality in accordance with the principles and charters of the United Nations and of taking sides in the Libyan conflict.”

In his briefing to the Security Council, the UN envoy accused the HoR of failing to pass the election legislation and of deliberately postponing its meetings and wasting time in order to hold onto power.
