A number of oil and gas companies are preparing to submit their bids to win the new drilling and exploration operations, as part of the three billion dollar Mellitah Marine Terminal expansion project.
One of the contracts submitted includes drilling eight wells in concession area 1, with the deadline for submission of offers being May 30, according to the MEED Business in London.
The second contract includes drilling 23 wells, as the area designated for drilling wells is located about 31 kilometers northeast of the current Sabratha platform and about 110 kilometers from the nearest point on the Libyan coast.
