The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said in a meeting with Greater Tripoli elders that the main goal of his government is holding parliamentary and presidential elections, reiterating his rejection of seizing power by weapons and conspiracies.

Dbeibah said elections are a national right and his government will work to achieve them despite difficulties and challenges, confirming that they have formed committees to assess damage to compensate those who suffered the damages in the recent clashes in Tripoli.

He also reiterated the need to remove military camps and security posts inside Tripoli municipalities and activate the role of police stations as well as security apparatuses.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Local Governing, and Housing and Construction as well as Deputy Minister of Sports.
