The head of the Information Office of the Justice and Construction Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya, Abdul Salam Jawed, has attacked the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Siddiq Kabir, accusing him of spending money on certain media outlet to defame the party.

Jawed accused Kabir of smearing the Justice and Construction Party because it had recently pushed for the unification of the banking institution between the east and west.

He added that the party will not hesitate to take the steps necessary to end the shameful queues and the suffering of Libyans in front of banks.

Jawed’s statement came after an attack by the media adviser to the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Mohammed Baio, who accused the Justice and Construction Party of attempting to divide Libya and control state institutions in Tripoli.
