Mayors, along with other representatives of municipalities in the western and central regions, called for an emergency meeting, with a view to solving the difficulties caused by power outages in the various cities in Libya.

The Mayors of the municipalities, meeting in the city of Misrata, called for the attendance of the Head of the Presidential Council, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, the Ministers of Interior, Planning and Finance, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company of Libya and the head of the Audit Bureau.

The Heads of the municipalities clearly stated that in the absence of any response to their request, their reaction would be as strong as the suffering felt by all Libyan citizens, in not worse, according to their statement.
