Hun Al-Afiya Hospital’s maternity ward was reopened Wednesday after over a year of closure due to lack of equipment and shortage of medical staff.

The section received the first birth case and the delivery was successful after the comeback and after a long suffering period by the residents.

Two women died last month due to the closure of the maternity ward. Five deaths of childbirth cases occurred at Al-Afiya hospital since August 2016.
