The National Oil Wells Drilling and Workover Company in Tripoli was ransacked by an armed group on Friday, the National Oil Company (NOC) reported.

"Two masked men discharged their weapons, assaulted security guards, and detained them inside the company headquarters until the following morning,” the NOC said.

The gunmen stole the security officer's personal belongings, as well as other equipment of the company, according to the NOC.

NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah condemned the incident and emphasized that actions have been taken to develop and tighten security measures at the NOC affiliates, stressing that the perpetrators of this crime shall not escape justice.
