The Masala oil field is back in full operation after being forced for more than a decade to run partially due to a malfunction in one of its gas-phase processors.

The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) running the field said on Tuesday that the executing company TECO developed the speed control system for the first and second gas-phase processors in cooperation with the engineers and maintenance team at the Masala field.

The previous control system, Simovert, which has been in service for 30 years, was replaced by a Dynavert 2021-developed system run by a higher-capacity generator.

According to AGCO, the new system is more efficient and has a scalable security system, which allows remote controlling and reading of the system.
