The Maltese courts have lifted the final freezing orders against two aircraft belonging to Libyan United Aviation airline after a negotiated settlement between the concerned parties.

The two “Global 5000” aircraft were detained in Malta for more than five years after failing to pay previous debts due to administrative procedures beyond the company's control, as described.

Libyan economic development fund last February indicated that it had reached a settlement on the airline's debts, after "long and arduous" negotiations and prevented the planes from being opposed to a sale through auction.
