The Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Louay Shabana, presented to the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteeq, plans and programs to be implemented in Libya.

Shabana explained that the plans are aimed at opening the door for young people to participate in promoting sustainable development, security, peace and empowerment of women and civil societies in Libya.

For his part, Maiteeq praised UNFPA's plans to provide services to citizens and stressed the need to intensify efforts to implement programs according to actual needs of Libyan citizens.
