Libya’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni said that the GNA had accepted the proposed truce to halt the bloodshed of Libyans, but the ceasefire is associated with the withdrawal of the aggressors.

"We reiterate our consistent position; without the withdrawal of the aggressors to where they came from, the truce will not succeed, nor will any other political solution," Al-Sunni tweeted out on his account on Sunday.

He added, "the aggressor, as anticipated, did not abide by the ceasefire."
