Libya's permanent representative to the United Nations, Al-Mahdi Al-Majrbi, has reiterated his request for an international panel to investigate war crimes in Libya, and to identify those responsible for these violations, particularly the targeting of civilians, migrant shelters, and health facilities.

In his address to the Security Council, Al-Majrbi stressed the need to repel the attack on Tripoli, saying “it is a patriotic duty of the internationally recognized government in Tripoli.”

"The aggressor cannot be a partner in building a civil state," he added, calling on the Security Council to help Libya eliminate the conditions that may promote terrorist activities due to the security vacuum caused by the aggression on Tripoli, as he put it.
