The Secretary-General of the Libyan Red Crescent has signed a cooperation agreement with UNICEF representative in Libya, to provide rapid humanitarian assistance in conflicts and natural disasters in the country.

The Libyan Red Crescent said it hopes this agreement would enhance efforts aimed at implementing the rapid humanitarian preparedness and response project in cases of natural disasters and armed conflicts.

The agreement was signed remotely via online technology due to the circumstances related to Covid-19, according to the Red Crescent Facebook page. It said it wanted to note the importance of adhering to the global health guidelines to stem the Coronavirus epidemic.
