The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, reviewed with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi, in the presence of House of Representatives' members Ayman Saif Al-Nasser and Al-Mabrouk Al-Kabir, the PC's roadmap initiative for parliamentary and presidential elections and the ways to tackle differences in order to move forward with the constitutional track.

The Libyan Presidential Council tasked early in July Deputy Abdullah Al-Lafi to hold urgent discussions with political parties to reach consensus on ending the current political deadlock in the country by launching a roadmap that ends transitional periods via parliamentary and presidential elections in a specific timeline.

"Maintaining unity of Libya, ending signs of war and partition, boosting peace and security, limiting foreign intervention and pushing for a national solution are major components of the roadmap." The PC said in a statement.
