Foreign Minister, Mohamed Siyala has discussed with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the latest developments in Libya, including the 5 + 5 meeting in Geneva.

According to a statement by Libya's foreign ministry, Siyala presented, during the meeting held on the sidelines of the African Union summit in Addis Ababa, a summary of the unfolding situation in Libya, and in particular, the economic meeting prepared by the United Nations mission.

For his part, Guterres confirmed that every effort will be made to make the upcoming meetings a success.

"The United Nations will work with the Security Council to issue a resolution that would secure the implementation of the Berlin outputs, including a permanent ceasefire," the UN head stressed.
