Libya's production of crude oil hit one million and 211 thousand barrels per day on Tuesday, the National Oil Corporation confirms.

Earlier, the NOC Chairman Farhat bin Qadara attended a meeting to follow up on the implementation of the extraordinary budget of the state-run company, in the presence of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

The PM revealed during the meeting a medium-term action plan extending from three to five years, in which all companies present their projects aimed at increasing production rates to two million barrels per day.

Bin Qadara had confirmed earlier that increasing production levels is the main target of his team since taking over the NOC's management last month.
