Libya's Coast Guard saved more than 9,000 illegal immigrants during 2019, including more than 600 women, 1,200 children, in 107 rescuing operations.

The UNHCR indicated that the migrants landed in the Port of Khums, Tripoli Naval base, and the Commercial Port of Tripoli.

It affirmed that more than 300 migrants have died in the Mediterranean in their journey to Europe.

UNHCR pointed out that more than 1,400 refugees were resettled in a third country last year.

A total of 2427 migrants left for Niger, Rwanda, Romania, Italy, and other countries, within the UNHCR's evacuation and resettlement programs, according to the UNHCR.
