Libyan Coast Guard has rescued 53 illegal immigrants aboard a rubber boat, about 75 northwest of Abu Kammash district.

The Coast Guard clarified in a statement yesterday that among the rescued immigrants were 14 women, confirming that they were of African nationalities.

The immigrants were disembarked at the landing point of Tripoli Port where they were provided with humanitarian and medical assistants before being handed over to Janzour Shelter of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency.
