Libya's Coast Guard said it had rescued, 493 illegal immigrants off the Libyan coast, in separate operations.

The Coast Guard clarified that the rescue operations took place on different days and included 6 rubber boats in the areas north and east of Tripoli.

The migrants were of Arab, African and Asian nationalities, among them, were children and women, according to Libya's Coast Guard

Those rescued were transferred to various shelters in Al-Khums, Zawiya, and Tripoli, after providing them with medical and humanitarian assistance, the coast guard added.
