A patrol boat of Libya's Coast Guard rescued Sunday 126 illegal immigrants aboard a rubber boat, including four women and four children.

Libyan Navy Spokesman, Ayoub Qassem clarified in a statement that the migrants were of different African nationalities.

"Their boat was found about 50 miles northeast of Garabulli town east of Tripoli," he added.

The migrants were disembarked at the Coast Guard point at Tripoli Port, where they received medical assistance before being handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, according to the Libyan Navy.
