The General Directorate of Libyan Coast Security celebrated Friday in the Italian city of Ostia, the graduation of a new batch of its officers.

The Interior Ministry explained that the officers were sent to receive a training course in partnership between Frontex Agency, the European Union mission EUBAM, and the Italian Ministry of Interior.

"The three weeks training course targeted 22 trainees nationwide," Libyan Interior Minister explained, pointing out that the course aims to enhance the competencies of trainees in the fields of marine search and rescue, in addition to maritime law enforcement.
