The Libyan Red Crescent Society, Misurata Branch has provided humanitarian aid to a number of illegal migrants on board a ship, which arrived at the port of Misurata.

The Red Crescent explained that it had received an emergency appeal for humanitarian intervention from the authorities of Misurata Port, to relief the migrants who were suffering from fatigue, hunger and thirst after being rescued from the Mediterranean a few days ago, and refused to leave the ship.

The Red Crescent Society said it had dispatched a number of ambulances and provided essential needs to the migrants, including food and medical checkups.
