The Deputy Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed with the Tunisian President Kais Saied the latest developments in Tunisia and the latter said everything is going according to the constitution in his country

Al-Lafi said after meeting Saied in Tunis that the meeting also reviewed several regional and international issues in addition to the situation in Tunisia, which is Libya's neighboring state and so its stability as per the aspirations of Tunisians is important. He also said Kais Saied said he was keen on finishing the transitional phase.

Al-Lafi arrived in Tunisia on Thursday after the country's latest developments that included Saied's dismissal of the government and freezing of parliament for 30 days, in addition to lifting immunity of parliament members.

Libyan High Council of State's Head, Khalid Al-Mishri, denounced what happened in Tunisia and considered it a coup against elected legitimacy and constitution. The Libyan government and Presidential Council haven't commented.
