The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah said Tuesday evening, hours after the House of Representatives (HoR) withdrew confidence in his Government of National Unity, that his government stands with the people and their choices, rejecting war and division.

Dbeibah added in an address at a sports event in Al-Zawiya city that he is with the choices of the Libyan people and supports elections, saying his government is going to make its way on the track of peace not destruction and war, and expressing commitment to finish what his government started to unify Libya.

The spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Blehiq, said the HoR withdrawal vote was passed by majority of 89 members out of 113 attending Tuesday session, saying the government could continue as a caretaker government.
