The Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR) has rejected to participate in a meeting called by Egypt on the Libyan issue, due to the lack of clarity of its agenda and goals.

"Egypt is not a neutral party in the war waged on areas rejecting military domination within Libyan territory, especially Tripoli" the HoR stated in a statement.

"Egypt's behaviour disqualifies it from embracing any initiative to resolve the Libyan crisis unless it retreats from its previous positions by condemning blatant offences and stopping its support to the aggressors," the statement added.

The HoR also expressed readiness for any political initiative that would bring Libyan parties to the negotiation table under Libyan auspices or an impartial and neutral party.
