The Libyan Naval Forces Chief of Staff announced the rescue of 257 illegal immigrants during six separate rescue operations, offloading those rescued in Tripoli where they were provided humanitarian and medical aid.

According to the Spokesman for the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, the Libyan Coast Guard and Port Security Agency also assisted in carrying out, last Wednesday and Thursday, the six successful rescue operations in the search and rescue area of Libya, contributing to the rescue of 257 migrants, including 22 women, 205 man and 30 children.
