Minister of Interior Fathi Pashaga reviewed the measures to be taken regarding the security arrangements during his speech at the Palermo Conference on Libya, which was inaugurated on Monday.

Pashagha called on the international community to support the national reconciliation between the Libyans and the unification of state institutions, especially military and security institutions.

For her part, Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission for Political Affairs Stephanie Williams welcomed the minister's decisions regarding the establishment of a human rights office, the recall of security personnel to return to work, and replacing unregulated personnel, in addition, to appointing female police officers for the women's affairs and the children and family protection offices.

She said that such measures carry a strong and tangible message that change is coming.
