Human Right Solidarity said it had begun to search for procedures to prosecute the fugitives in the case of the Abu Salim prison massacre.

In a statement made on Friday the human rights group criticized the failure of Libyan authorities to publish the results of the investigations into the June 1996 massacre and the trial of the accused, despite the passage of five years.

The group said the Libyan authorities have not yet determined the fate of the bodies of the massacre, stressing the need to bring the perpetrators of the massacre to trial to know the location of the bodies and identify the remains.
