The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded, Wednesday, to stop the arms support flowing to Haftar from land and air, to preserve the lives of civilians.

This came during a telephone conversation made by Foreign Minister, Mohamed Siyala, with the EU High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

The statement quoted Borrell as saying that he was "aware of the military support delivered to Haftar via land and air".

He stressed that the operation will include land and air surveillance to demonstrate that the process is not aimed at the Government of National Accord.
