The Libyan national football team lost against the Republic of Congo by two goals to one in a match hosted at the Mustapha Ben Jannat Stadium in Monastir, Tunisia.

The match was part of the penultimate round of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

This result sees Libya scoring three points while Congo took second place for Group A teams with 10 points.

The result also means that the Libyan team has lost the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup after losing three consecutive games in the first, second and third rounds of qualifying.
