The Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, has praised the efforts of the Specia Advisor of the UN Secretary General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, in making the political process successful.
Al-Mangoush told Williams in a meeting in Tripoli that the Government of National Unity supports elections despite challenges, saying Libyans want stability and sovereignty for their country.
Williams, on the other hand, stressed the need to stay away from rumors that upset the public opinion, adding that all parties should work toward the success of elections, reiterating the importance of joint communication between UNSMIL and the Foreign Ministry. She also hailed the success of the International Conference held by the Foreign Ministry in Tripoli last October.
