The Libyan Embassy in Italy announced on Thursday that it had received pieces of stolen artefacts, which have been smuggled outside of Libya.

The artefacts included a precious collection of pottery pieces and ancient arrows.

The handover ceremony took place in the presence of the head of the Libyan Antiquities Authority and the Libyan Ambassador to Rome, Omar Tarhouni, who emphasized that the embassy team will continue cooperation with the Libyan Antiquities Authority, in order to provide all facilities to return the smuggled antiquities.
