The General Union of Libyan Doctors has called on the Attorney General to open an investigation into the reason for the delay in the arrival of the Coronavirus vaccine in Libya.

It also called on the Attorney General to identify those behind the delay and bring them to trial.

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed Wednesday that 23 cases of the coronavirus variant have been discovered in specimens collected from 88 people who tested positive for coronavirus.

It is noteworthy that Libya has contracted to purchase 2.8 million doses of the Coronavirus vaccine with a value of 42 million Libyan dinars.
