A delegation from the Libyan Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity (GNU), headed by the Deputy Interior Minister for Directorates' Affairs Bashir Al-Ameen, participated in the sixth Interpol meeting of Police Chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa, which was held in the French city of Lyon.

The meeting, which gathers leaders from 20 countries, discussed issues related to border security, countering terrorism and drug trafficking, as well as areas in which Interpol's policing initiatives can add value through increased exchange and analysis of data among the members of the organization.

The Libyan delegation from the Ministry of Interior also included the Head of the Arab and International Criminal Police Office, the Director of the office of the Deputy Interior Minister for public affairs, and the Director of the office of the Deputy Interior Minister for district affairs, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry.
