The Libyan Coast Guard had recovered in 2018 101 bodies of migrants who died in the sea while attempting to reach Europe, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on Wednesday.

"Libyan local authorities, with the support of the International Medical Corps, had provided medical services and basic relief materials for migrants in Libya," UNHCR clarified via its website, adding that it had rehabilitated water and sanitation facilities in shelters in Tripoli, Tajoura, Zawiya, and Khoms.
