The Libyan Coast Guard on Sunday received equipment and supplies from the security attaché at the Italian Embassy in Libya as part of previous agreements to support the apparatus.

The Spokesman for the Libyan Naval Forces Chief of Staff clarified that the batch included special clothing for sea workers.

"Italy's assistance comes in the framework of the support project provided by the European Union," the Navy spokesman said.

The head of the Coast Guard and Port Security Agency, Major General Rida Issa, received the supplies in the presence of several officials and the Italian military attaché.
