The Lefortovo Court in Moscow has sentenced a Libyan citizen to two months in pretrial detention on charges of exporting banned materials from Russia that could be used in the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.

The Russian TASS agency said that the ruling has not entered into legal force and can be appealed, noting that the article attributed to the Libyan accused, accompanied by the Director General of a Russian company, Alexander Nerusha, carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to one million rubles.
