The Libyan Center for Freedom of Press announced the disappearance of Ramadan Taweeb, one of its members, after receiving a telephone call from the Information Security Service in the Ain Zara branch, south of the capital Tripoli.

The Center said in a statement posted on its official Facebook account that it lost contact with Taweeb right after his arrival at the Information Security Service, confirming that there wasn’t any arrest warrant for him.

The Center expressed regret at what it described as “the continuation of policies to tighten the screws and prosecute journalists by security forces and armed groups.”
