Libyan national, Abdul Salam Busairi has arrived in Ghadames city, southwest of Libya, on foot, where he received an official welcome by the city's Municipal Council.

The trip to Ghadames is part of a challenge he set for himself to trek across Libya on foot under the initiative "Join hands Forgive and Cooperate for the Sake of the Homeland".

He had to walk for 50 km a day battling a range of challenges, above all was the security situation.

Busairi's next stopping point will be Ajdabiya city in eastern Libya where he is due to continue his trip from there to the southern region, towards Awjilah Jalu, Alwahat and Jakharrad.
