The General Authority for Awqaf and Islamic Affairs confirmed that no Hajj pilgrimage trips will be conducted from Libya to Saudi Arabia during the current year, as the pilgrimage has been limited to residents of Saudi Arabia alone.

In a statement released on June 12, the authority indicated that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj announced that this year’s ritual Hajj pilgrimage has been limited to the residents living inside the domain of Saudi Arabia, due to the risk of the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has set the limit of pilgrims at strictly 60,000 pilgrims from amongst its citizens and residents.
