Libya's ambassador to the European Union, Hafez Kaddour, called on EU High representative, Federica Mogherini, to address the UN Security Council member states to shoulder their responsibilities, in order to protect civilians.

In a letter addressed to Mogherini, Kaddour said that militias of Haftar have fired a number of rockets at residential neighbourhoods in Tripoli, in addition to its aggression on the city on April 4, despite all appeals and attempts to cease fire, pointing out that the Haftar's militias are still attacking the city relentlessly.

He also affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent notes to the UN Security Council, warning them of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation as a result of the aggression against the capital.
