A Libyan L-39 Albatross jet made an emergency landing on a rural road in Tunisia on Monday.

Tunisian Defense Ministry said a Libyan aircraft penetrated the Tunisian air space around 7:30 am and had to conduct an emergency landing in Bani Ghazell area, south of Medenine governorate.

Libyan Air Force said the jet trainer aircraft belongs to warlord Khalifa Haftar’s air force.

No official comments were made by the eastern air force of warlord Khalifa Haftar, but media sources close to them claimed the aircraft suffered a technical glitch in its navigation system.
